Possession a Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card with an IVP number
Excellent driving skills and knowledge of traffic laws and regulations
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to remain calm and focused in stressful situations
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Alternative to the above qualifications as the Governing Board finds appropriate and acceptable.
REPORTS TO: Director of Transportation, Assistant Director of Transportation
WORKS WITH: Administrative Assistant
JOB GOAL: To operate a van and to transport passengers safely to their destinations
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
This list represents the essential tasks performed by the position. These essential job functions are not to be construed as a complete statement of all duties performed. Operates a van safely and efficiently to transport passengers to various destinations.
Adheres to all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
Follows the prescribed route and schedule, stopping at designated stops.
Ensures the safety of passengers by following District procedures.
Communicates with dispatch and the Administrative Assistant as needed.
Performs daily inspections of the van, maintaining a clean and orderly bus interior.
Reports any accidents, incidents, or mechanical problems to the Directors.
Provides first aid in the event of an emergency.
Completes reports as require.
Performs other duties as assigned.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Hours/day to be determined by scheduling; days/year determined by approved calendar. Hourly rate and workdays established by the Board.
EVALUATION:
Performance will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Staff.
